The Parcel mail service is a cost effective service for customers who need to send document or non-document items weighting above 500 grams.

The services provide:

A wide range of lodgment points to suit customers’ needs (sorting centers or main delivery offices).
Pick up mail from Bulk mailer residence.
Counting mail items.
Return of undelivered items with reason of un-delivery marked on mail items.
Detailed Report of Returned mail items include the reason of un-delivery.
Regular delivery service
Account manager to receive and solve any complaint or to fulfill any requirements by the corporate.
A unique range of barcode given to the corporate
Tracking service by Barcode number
Submit Enquiry by manual ID (internal reference for the customer) .

To Be Qualified to the service as a Bulk mailer:

Unique Barcode number comply with S 10 Barcode format with 39 font With 2 Initials CP whether Printed or labeled on Parcels on a clear place.
To submit Excel Data file for Egypt Post comply to Egypt Post standard data order before 48 hours of Physical mail lodgment ( download file )
Each mail item of batch must be identical in size and weight.

Proof of delivery

The service is available as a supplement to mail items forwarded by parcel mail for additional fee.

Benefits:

Proof of delivery provides you with a card, signed by the person who accepted the parcel mail item and postmarked by the delivery office. The standard parcel mail service includes only a record of delivery that the delivery office retains for one month, and saved at Egypt Post main Archiving units for 12 months.

How Proof of delivery works

To purchase Proof of delivery service, you must lodge a Parcel Mail item at a post office. You complete your own address details on a “Proof of Delivery Card” provided by Egypt Post. The Card accompanies the Registered Mail item to the Post-delivery office.The assessment of postage charges does not include the weight of the Proof of Delivery Card.

To be qualified for the service:

Complete addressee address details on a “Proof of Delivery Card” provided by Egypt Post.
Pin up each card to each mail item
Identify one Address for Returned mail items

The Post-delivery office:

Obtains the signature of the person who accepts delivery on the Proof of Delivery Card.
Postmarks the Card to confirm the date of delivery.
Returns the Card to you on the required address.

Charges for Proof of delivery:

2 LE

Cash on delivery

The service is available as a supplement to mail items forwarded by parcel mail for additional fee.

How cash on delivery works

To purchase cash on delivery service:

You must lodge a Parcel Mail item at a post office.
You complete your parcel mail item details on a “Cash on Delivery Card” including :

Name of sender and Phone number
Name of addressee and Phone number
Address of the addressee
Address of the sender
The collected amount value
Insurance amount value, if insurance service is required.

The Card accompanies the parcel Mail item to the Post-delivery office.
Amount is collected on delivery.
The sender collects the cash from the origin post office.

Postage charges for Cash on delivery:

1 % of the collected amount, with minimum charges 5 LE

Insurance

This service provides extra Insurance for merchandise items and is available as a supplement to merchandise mail items that are forwarded by small packet, parcel mail and express. The standard Parcel mail service includes compensation to 400 LE as part of the service fee. For extra Insurance there are additional fees payable. Proof of posting is necessary to claim compensation in the case of total loss of a Parcel mail item.

Egypt Post excludes any claim for a valuable item that:

Is lodged without Extra Insurance
Is not securely packed and wrapped or in packaging that has a shape, fastening or transparency that could allow its contents to be identified
Is prohibited by the law

Compensation of Extra insurance service is up to 10.000 LE

Supplementary services:

Supplementary and special service options to meet all mailing needs like Cash on Delivery or Proof of delivery or Insurance are available for additional fee.
