•  Comprehensive Plan to Recruit Graduates of "Post" Major

Egypt Post has commenced the executive procedures for an overall plan to employ all graduates of department of Post, Faculty of Commerce, Helwan University from 2003 till 2008.



•  Egypt Post Remittances Volume Reaches 2.5 Billions

In the first year of its application, the volume of direct remittances reached 2.5 billion L.E, through 3600 offices of the Egypt Post unified network.



•  Egypt Post Opens 2 Post Offices in Alex

Eng. Alaa Fahmy, Chairman of Egypt Post, accompanied by Minister of Telecommunication, Dr. Tarek Kamel and Brigadier Adel Labib, the Governor of Alexandria, have inaugurated two newly-developed post offices in Alexandria -- one in Al-Mansheya and the other in Salah El-Din area.



•  New Post Offices in Helwan

Eng. Alaa Fahmy, Chairman of Egypt Post, accompanied by Minister of Telecommunication, Dr. Tarek Kamel and Helwan governor, Dr.Hazem Al-Kweidy inaugurated 3 post offices in Helwan Governorate.  The first office "Saf Albalad", that cost about 500, 000 LE, consists of two floors;  the upper one is used as a distributing zone, and serves citizens through 8 outlets.



•  Egypt Post will host PosTech 2008 from 16th to 18th November in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt

Under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, the Egyptian minister of Communications and Information Technology, Egypt Post will host PosTech 2008 from 16th to 18th November in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The overall objective of PosTech 2008 is to highlight the importance of technology in the development of the postal sector.



•  Egypt Post organizes daily seminars on e-signature

Egypt Post organizes three-day seminars, in its pavilion in Cairo International Exhibition for communications and information technology CAIRO ICT 2008. The  objective is to inform the public of the electronic signature technology and the advantages of dealing with it, in cooperation with the Egyptian Company for electronic signature and secure information.



•  Egypt Post contribution to modern financial services at CAIRO ICT 2008

Mahmoud Jamal Din, vice chairman of the board of Egypt Post for Economic Affairs and the development of business said that the Authority contributed to many modern financial services during the events of CAIRO ICT 2008 ICT. Among them, the Postal investment book, immediate remittances and electronic payment and the daily interest current account in addition to many other services



•  Opening new postal digital printing houses

Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology inaugurated Egypt Post's new digital printing houses after being provided with the most modern printing dynamic technologies in the Middle East as a first stage to update the printing housesof the Authority in Egypt, in cooperation with major global German companies specialized in this area



•  Egypt Post in the Smart Village

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif inaugurated the new headquarters of Egypt Post in the Smart Village, in the  presence of Dr. Tarek Kamel, minister of communications and information technology. The new building, which extends over an area of 4000 acres, cost LE 40 million. It comes in the course of the third stage of the Smart Village, scheduled to end by 2009



•  Aswan main post office re-openend

Minister of communications and information technology Dr. Tarek Kamel, Aswan Governor Maj. Gen. Samir Youssef and Engineer Alaa Fahmy, chairman of the board of Egypt Post opened the  Aswan main Post Office, the High Dam (West) Post Office after being updated, developed and equipped with computers.
