Proceedings and activities of POSTECH2008 have been finalized at Sharm al Shaikh.  Egypt post chairman, Eng.Alaa Fahmy, confirmed that the conference had received a great interest from the countries allover the world, and became an important and especial event on the agenda of the international events. The conference sessions, Fahmy added, between the leaders of post organizations have witnessed, to a great extent, introducing ideas and perspectives. "No future for Egypt Post without applying modern technology, so linking between Technology and post is necessary", Fahmy highlighted.

Fahmy's statements came during a press conference, which has been held at the end of the POSTECH conference, attended by Edward Dayan, Manager of International Postal Union and Dr.Mohammad Taher the CEO of the Saudi post.

Egypt post CEO revealed that new fields of cooperation with the Indian post in several fields have been opened, the matter which coincides with President Mubarak's  visit to India. Both sides have agreed on issuing a common stamp on the occasion of Mubarak's visit to India, Fahmy added.

Fahmy said that the sides participated in the conference have benefited from the experience expertise. As for, the Egypt post and the its employees, they have benefited also from such conference, in the frame of developing its basic, manpower, and technological structure. He added that these conferences are consider a chance to apply and benefit from modern technology, pointing out that the conference is not traditional one tailed by some recommendations, but rather it is an opportunity for exchanging the practical experiences between governments, qs POSTECH witnesses alliances , companionship, and signing agreements among post organizations and each other.    

CEO of the Saudi Post Mohammad Banten said that meetings between Post organizations, IT companies are necessary, so as to provide the post industry with the financial and technological support.

He stressed on the success of the conference in achieving its goals, the most important of which is merging the postal services with the modern technology, pointing out that the electronic services became a vital part of the postal services, in addition to getting informed with the successful experiences of the governmental organizations which used modern technology such as the Italian, Saudi, and the American posts.

Banten emphasized on the great approach and cooperation between the Egyptian and the Saudi post organizations which were supported by POSTECH conference, Saudi Post takes part in.

Edward Dayan stressed on the growing importance of POSTECH conference which is held for the second time after it was firstly launched in Jeddah, where as such conference gives an importance for the post sector and spotlights its vital role in the development. Dayan pointed out that POSTECH 2008 supported the trend adopted by the International Post Union, stressing that POSTECH has succeeded in achieving communication and rising the level of performance, and became a major path to reach other partners, as well as, attracting attentions to the post sector.

Basics of working in the International post union based on several major pivots including communication, controlling, development, in addition to helping all the post organizations allover the world, Fahmy added.
