Egypt post Chairman Eng/Alaa Fahmy declared that the second conference and Exhibition for Post technology "Postech" which will be hosted by the Egypt post organization in " Sharm EL Sheikh" from the 16^th of November till the 18^th aiming at exchanging experiences between the international post organizations and exchanging the successful rehearsal of the international companies with high technology in this field and reviewing the new ones , in addition to  discussing the most obvious challenges which face the Post industry with the leaders of  this service , the employees , and the legislators .

Moreover,  it aims at proving what Egypt post achieved through using technology and sharing experience with the more progressive countries to benefit from their success in the way of the continuous development for Egypt post , and to inform the telecommunication companies for the necessity of creation and developing new tools to serve this service which would achieve billions of dollars.

Eng. Alaa Fahmy pointed out that this regional and international meeting would increase the technology demand and creating new post products, as the personal service in which Egypt post aims at providing it for its customers quickly and which high quality, as this service depends on using new technological machines which are put inside the post offices or inside the customers' whereabouts, to deal with it directly, to buy stamps, to record letters and sending messages and parcels  and other services. He said that the conference won a especial care from   Telecommunication minister Dr.Tarek Kamel , in addition to the share and patronage of various telecommunication companies , as IBM , Sun Microsystems, HB, AHCC, Siemens , Sysco , Microsoft , Intermeek , and the Saudi post.  

Chairman of Microsoft -Egypt Kareem Ramadan pointed out that the company supports this conference, believing that the technological development that occurred in the world of continuity (as the Email and direct letters) is due to the development of the traditional post, so participating at developing the missions of the post organizations is necessary, as to cope with these services. He added that Microsoft-Egypt has a successful  experiences , the most prominent one is what Egypt post has achieved  which works with a full care  of technologies. worth mentioning, the role of Egypt Post is increasing through providing all the known payable tools, some are traditional while the others are not, like the credit card, the smart card, and tools of Electronic payment , exchanging documents electronically, and bills payment by using the GIRO system.

Eng Alaa Fahmy was asked about the international financial crisis and its effects on the Egypt post organization, as it is a pivotal economic organization, especially after it announced a guaranteed mechanism for the citizen to share in the stock market and the Saving Fund with international currencies , the chairman of the Egypt post said that the financial crisis lead to a financial derivatives without cover , so the percentage of dept for the capital increased , and this didn't happen in Egypt in general and especially in Egypt post which doesn't deal with loans and guarantees and it doesn't have any investments abroad.
